Pension consolidation review

Compare old workplace and personal pensions, weigh transfer costs against clearer oversight, and decide what should stay put.

Who it is for

Anyone who has changed employers more than once and now holds several deferred pensions. You want to know whether consolidating will reduce charges and paperwork — or whether guaranteed benefits, exit penalties, or strong fund performance mean a scheme should stay where it is.

Scope

We obtain valuations and scheme booklets where possible, compare charges and investment choices, and highlight safeguarded benefits that must not be given up lightly. You receive a short written note on each scheme and a clear recommendation to transfer, leave, or seek further specialist input.

Exclusions

We do not provide advice on defined benefit transfers that require Pension Transfer Specialist sign-off beyond an initial triage. If your case needs that specialist layer, we will say so before you incur fees.

Process

Document gathering, scheme analysis, recommendation call, and a follow-up email summarising agreed actions. Timeline is typically two to three weeks once valuations arrive.

Next step

Ask about a pension consolidation review and list the schemes you know about — even partial details help.
