How we take a household from paperwork to a plan

Financial advice here is not a single meeting with a brochure. It is a short sequence of conversations designed around UK pensions, tax years, and the documents you already own.

  1. Discovery call

Thirty minutes to hear the decision you are facing — retirement timing, consolidation, gifting — and to confirm we are the right firm. You receive a document checklist and a fee estimate before anything is booked.

  2. Fact-find meeting

We walk through income, spending, pensions, ISAs, debts, and protection. Partners attend together when finances are shared. Paper copies are welcome; we are used to incomplete envelopes.

  3. Analysis

Behind the scenes we model cashflow, compare scheme charges, and check recommendations against current UK rules. You will not sit through a research marathon — that work happens at our desk.

  4. Recommendation meeting

You receive a written plan. We expect questions and disagreement. Choices you decline are recorded so the file reflects your decisions, not only ours.

  5. Follow-through

For thirty days after recommendations, we answer practical questions about forms, provider letters, and sequencing. Ongoing annual reviews are optional and separately scoped.

What to bring to the first proper meeting

  • Latest pension statements or login summaries
  • ISA and general investment valuations
  • Mortgage or rent details and any large debts
  • Payslips or accounts if you are self-employed
  • Notes on gifts already made or planned
  • Existing wills or expression-of-wish forms if you have them
